CoprHD is an open source software defined storage controller based on EMC's ViPR Controller. Software Defined Storage (SDS) has significant impact on how companies deploy and manage public and private cloud storage solutions to deliver on-demand storage services while reducing the cost. Similar to Software Defined Networking (SDN), SDS promises to simplify management of diverse provider solutions and ease of use.
